SkillsUSA – Napavine, behind the scenes…

To say SkillsUSA has faced some new challenges during a pandemic would be an understatement. The extra effort to participate is an even greater reason to recognize the students who carried on by every new means that was made possible.

Napavine High School Skills USA Competition

The SkillsUSA Napavine High School competition was carried out at the beginning of January, and in an extraordinary way due to COVID restrictions. Students completed projects at their own schools and instructors brought projects to Napavine for the final judging. Pictured are the instructors that presented the prizes and medals to the winning students.

Congratulations to students who learned how to consolidate their effort, working through and around extraordinary ways and means. They should create a special medal for that.

David Rutherford, the instructor for Napavine sent the photo of the kids with their medals. Napavine teams took silver and bronze. The team from Columbia High School in White Salmon, Washington took the gold. Chris Hipskind is the instructor for students in White Salmon.

Thanks to the Chehalis team for supporting the effort with the donation of prizes,

Congratulations to students who carried on their dreams in spite of a “few challenges.”
