13, 2007, Smokey Point, WA - Central Welding Supply
is pleased to announce the acquisition of D & B Welding
Supply in Renton, WA. Operation at this newest
location are scheduled for opening on October 1, 2007.
The purchase of D & B will expand
Central Welding Supply's reach to a total of 11 locations
and 4 divisions in the Puget Sound region. Founded in 1965
by Dennis Spiry, and owned and operated most recently by his
son Tim Spiry, D & B has a long history of solid and
dependable local customer service and will be a great fit
with Central Welding Supply's Puget Sound Area operations.
Besides the business and assets acquisition, the purchase
also includes D & B's building and property located at 1200
Union Ave NE, Renton, WA, which beginning October 1st will
operate as the Central Welding Supply Renton Branch. This
acquisition is expected add between $1.2M and $1.5M annually
in additional revenues, including sales of welding equipment, safety and industrial supplies, equipment rental,
industrial and specialty gas sales, and cylinder rental.
This is a unique opportunity for Central Welding Supply to
enhance service in the growing Renton, WA area, and increase
its existing east-side and south-sound customer base. Though
there is still much to accomplish through this transition,
we feel confident that we will meet these challenges, provide great Central Welding Supply customer service, and
set the groundwork for a long and mutually beneficial relationship with our new customers.
